The Lovely Project Launches New Website

The Lovely Project Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization based in Orlando, Florida launched its new official website.

The organization had been taking shape after Dr. Crystal Evans and her small team of women spent years working with young girls and women in the Central Florida area. The team had began several small groups called Lovely Groups, then put on an event for the girls in these groups called The Lovely Experience. Soon after, they decided to launch the blog website wearelovely.com to expand their reach to girls and young women nationwide.

Since that time, The Lovely Project has been making significant in-roads in the Central Florida community among business leaders, political leaders, corporate and non-profit organizations, and most recently, the Seminole County school system. "Our vision is to see girls empowered by who they really are--valuable young women that have a purpose in this life," says Dr. Crystal Evans. "We are so excited to receive such a positive response by organizations and leaders in our community. I think this is a cause that's so important to the health of our city and our nation. When you look at the statistics its tragic and shocking how many young girls are being affected by abuse, bullying, cutting, alcholism and more. It's even more tragic when you hear these stories and see their effects up close and personal. We are passionate about helping to change that."

The Lovely Project saw the need to form a Foundation to support the organization's expanding programs, which include Lovely Experiences, Lovely Groups, Mentorships and now Lovely Jr. The new Foundation website features information on the need and statistics, programs, success stories, how to get involved and latest news. The Lovely Project Foundation's new website is located at thelovelyproject.org
